The aim of my bachelor thesis was to record the occurrence of endoparasites in European fallow deer in females, males and young. In 2018, a regulation was issued by the State Veterinary Administration banning the use of antiparasitic drugs for cloven-hoofed game. The measure was intended to prevent the spread of a dangerous disease, namely African swine fever. Previously, antiparasitic drugs against parasitic diseases were commonly treated in my chosen area. Part of my bachelor's thesis was to compare the results before and after the imposed ban. Treatment with antiparasitic drugs is now possible with an exemption, once parasites have been demonstrated in ungulates and under certain conditions.

Perception of the "culture wars" concept in American media

American society is going through an era of deep social and political divisions. At the forefront of this deepening divide are the so-called culture wars, an umbrella term for a set of narratives around cultural and social issues that both sides of the conflict use to advance their political goals. This thesis aims to determine how much space culture wars themes occupy in the production of selected American media outlets, how these themes are projected onto their audiences and how this influences the audience's trust in the mainstream media. The first part of the thesis presents the methodology used in collecting and evaluating the data used in the research for this thesis. The theoretical section also defines concepts and terms related to the topic of the thesis. The practical part of the thesis will then focus on the evaluation of the data from the questionnaire survey conducted among American media consumers between May and June 2023.

Criteria for prohibition or suspension of political party's activity and their fulfillment by the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia

The topic of banning or suspending the activities of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM) has long resonated in Czech society. The aim of the thesis is to answer, on the basis of summarized criteria and expert opinions, whether the KSČM did not meet the conditions for its prohibition or suspension of its activities in a certain period of its existence (1989-2012). The text is theoretically based on the concept of defensive democracy, the foundations of which are brought closer to the reader both in general terms and in a more detailed form in the environment of the Czech Republic. Among other things, the thesis reflects selected historical cases associated with the Communist Party, which led to the development of this concept in the Czech Republic. Individual efforts to legally sanction the Communist Party culminated in 2011 with a request from the Ministry of the Interior for expert opinions. The aim of these assessments was to support the reasoning of the upcoming proposal to suspend the activities of the KSČM. The result of this work is the finding that on the basis of a comparison of general criteria and arguments from expert opinions, the activities of the Communist Party could not be banned or suspended.

Ways of formulation of prohibition in Russian in comparison with Czech

The thesis deals with the issue of expressing a ban in Russian in comparison with Czech. The theoretical part provides a brief overview of the ways of expressing the ban in the comparison plan. Theoretical starting points are applied in the practical part of the work, where the knowledge is supplemented by acquired examples, and we find out in which ways of expressing the ban in both languages exact equivalents can be found and where, on the contrary, the expression of the ban differs. Taboo and noa in communication. Realization of linguistic taboos in the print media

Taboo and noa in communication. Realization of linguistic taboos in the print media. This thesis deals with issues of the taboo and noa in language and communication. The core of this thesis is to identify the essential tabooed themes in contemporary society and ways of their linguistic realization in the print media. In the theoretical part of this thesis is the first explained substance of the terms such as taboo, noa, communication and linguistic taboos with regard to the interrelations between these terms. In the empirical part are then defined tabooed themes occurring in the concrete texts of the diary Mladá fronta DNES and Blesk and of the periodical Rytmus života and ways of their linguistic grasping. The thesis focuses above all on the manifestations of speech restrictions in the lexical plan of the language.

Campaign to stop 'killer robots': prospects of a preemptive ban on autonomous weapons systems

This thesis addresses the issue of autonomous weapons systems and their potential preventive prohibition with regard to current international discussions at multilateral forums such as the Human Rights Council, First Committee of the General Assembly, and Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons at UN. The aim of this thesis is to provide an extensive empirical account of the substance of those discussions and their most likely outcome, estimating state preferences with use of content analysis and the likely outcome with median voter prediction. From a theoretical standpoint, the thesis draws from defensive realism and contributions of arms control, arms trade as well as institutionalist literature from which it draws the concept of legalization. From a methodological standpoint, the thesis relies on quantitative methods, in particular, content analysis for collection of data and median voter theorem for prediction of the likely outcome. In addition, the thesis uses the method of regression analysis to examine states' activity at the aforementioned fora. In conclusion, the thesis finds that the most likely outcome of discussions on autonomous weapons systems is a moderate-obligation form of hybrid regulation, which includes solutions such as framework convention and moratorium. Regulation of tobacco advertising and its impact on the selected media in the Czech republic

The thesis deals with regulation of tobacco products advertising and its impact on selected media houses in the Czech Republic. First part of the thesis is dedicated to the history of smoking, to tobacco advertising in general and to description of negative effects on human health. Major tobacco companies present in the Czech market since 1993 are introduced. Moreover legislative development in the area of tobacco advertising which took place in three phases between years 1995 - 2004 is described. Part of the thesis focuses also on the context of the ban on tobacco advertising on the EU level, which became effective as of July 2005. Second part of the thesis deals with impact analysis of increasing tobacco regulation on selected Czech media. As for the television broadcasters, the Czech Television and TV NOVA are analyzed. For printed media, the impact is depicted on the case of newspapers Mladá fronta Dnes and Lidové noviny. Significant part of the thesis is dedicated to analysis of advertising data and to the description of changes in the marketing and communication strategies of four biggest tobacco holdings, including the analysis of how they have addressed the issue of limited communication opportunities and how they have overcome the ban of tobacco products advertising. Rules, bans, restrictions in healthcare facilities

Rules, bans, restrictions in healthcare facilities Improving the quality of care for patients is the main goal of every healthcare facility. Satisfaction of patients with medical and nursing care is one of the indicators of quality. Patients have not only rights but also duties. Among other things, patients{\crq} duties include compliance with rules, bans and restrictions during a visit to healthcare facilities. This particularly concerns compliance with therapeutic rules, instructions given by a physician and other limitations associated with the operation of a healthcare facility. The main objective of this diploma thesis was to identify the patients{\crq} attitude and perception of rules, bans, and restrictions, find out how patients observe them and compare the number of rules, bans and restrictions in both outpatient and inpatient healthcare facilities. The data was collected in a survey undertaken in Nemocnice s poliklinikou Praha Italská (Hospital with Outpatient Clinic Prague Italska). This healthcare facility has 2 hospital wards and 31 specialist outpatient departments. A total of 188 respondents took part in the survey (102 outpatients and 86 inpatients). Five hypotheses were proposed. The first hypothesis, which predicted that most patients would perceive rules, bans and restrictions as burden, was not confirmed. The second hypothesis, which predicted that rules, bans and restrictions that were personal would create more stress in female patients than in male patients, was confirmed. The third hypothesis was also confirmed since female patients from outpatient departments of the healthcare facility were shown to be more compliant with rules, bans and restrictions than male patients. Female inpatients from hospital wards of the healthcare facility were not more compliant with rules, bans and restrictions than male inpatients. The fourth hypothesis was not therefore confirmed. Our assumption that inpatients from hospital wards of the healthcare facility are facing more rules, bans and restrictions than outpatients was disproved. The fifth hypothesis was not therefore confirmed. The author has chosen this topic for her diploma thesis because as a nurse she meets different kinds of patients on a daily basis who react differently to rules, bans and restrictions in this healthcare facility. The results of the survey led us to design training classes for nurses and information brochures for patients who visit healthcare facilities. A sufficient amount of information is a basic prerequisite for understanding and complying with rules, bans and restrictions.
